Learn More

Hey, I’m Slimane!
(aka Slimotion)

I’m an anime animator and illustrator, and I’ve had the chance to work on some incredible projects with studios like Netflix, Sony, and Ubisoft. Over the years, I’ve brought characters and worlds to life across different styles and stories — and I’m excited to share that experience with you.

In this course, I’ll guide you through the creative process I use in the industry, from the fundamentals of drawing to crafting complete anime-style illustrations. My goal is to help you understand how professionals think, create, and bring ideas to life — while inspiring you to develop your own artistic voice along the way.

What You Can Learn On My Course:

Observation

Learn to see like an anime artist: notice proportions, poses, and dynamic movement. Turn any reference, 3D model, or concept into a starting point for lively, expressive character sketches.
Train your eye to catch the subtle gestures that bring characters to life — the tilt of a head, the curve of a spine, the weight in a stance.
Develop the habit of breaking down complex shapes into simple forms, so you can sketch faster, cleaner, and with
more confidence.

Drawing

Draw with confidence, step by step. Move from rough shapes to more refined forms while exploring anatomy, gestures, and proportions that make your characters feel alive.
Practice simplified construction — boxes, cylinders, and stick-figure gestures — so you can block poses quickly and correct mistakes early.
Focus on line economy and rhythm: use confident strokes to capture motion, then refine anatomy and clothing on top.

Finish

Bring your characters to life with color, shading, lighting, and digital effects in Clip Studio Paint. Add the details and final touches that give your illustrations energy, personality, and polish.
Use layers and blend modes to separate flats, shadows, and lights so you can experiment without losing earlier work.
Think of lighting first — core light, rim, and ambient fill — then push values and color contrast to create depth and mood.
Add texture, edge control, and subtle effects (glows, particles, line weight cleanup) to sell materials and atmosphere.
